I have some modern US 1/72 diecast armor and vehicles. I've been looking for some 1/72 diecast or plastic kit WarPac or modern Russian and former-WarPac vehicles but am having little luck. MRC makes a BTR-80 diecast but that seems to be it. I'd prefer diecast to kits. Seems odd so many NATO vehicles but no Soviet stuff!

Any suggestions? Would 20mm vehicles work?

20mm and 1/72 are essentially the same size…you can fudge up and down to 1/76 and 1/64 if you are not picky. I use all of the above with HO train buildings. Most Hotwheels and Matchbox are on the 1:64 side. I just wouldn't mix the scales in the same unit. You have to be careful as there is a bit of scale creep even in the kits and diecast.

Easy Model is in the process of releasing diecast BMPs, Pt-76s, new T-72s, and a few Hinds and MI helis.

I have some Hind, MI, and Mig kits I am selling.

Altalya do T-54, T-55, T-72 and T-80 with ERA as Diecasts.

Hobbymaster/Easymodel do T-55 and T-54 I believe.

Britannia do a PT-76, T-55 and T-62 in resin, all very nice models.

Liberation do a very nice T-62 as well and a PT-76.

S&S Models do a big selection but I can only comment on the Shilka and the BTR-T… Both good models.

S&S T72's with/out ERA are good too,the ZSU-23-4 Shilka is nice-lots of firepower! BTR-T's -very good, I believe the MG version is on the way…..also BMD's are on the list…

I also prefer diecast but some seem to be only in kit or can be expensive.

Forces of Valor did a T72 in desert and also one in green.

ACE does quite a few kits. I think Trumpeter does some also.
