I ran across this clip from what appears to be an early Russian film, I love the battle scenes, great inspiration for painting suitable figures.

Very nice – you can't beat the spectacle of thousands of extras in the big battle scenes. Forget CGI and lead actors hogging the camera, this is great stuff.

Great stuff! I have figs for this war. Certainly some painting inspiration. I'm surprised about how well they did with the uniforms and weapons.
