Is there any arabian scenery elements (treasure, etc.), or fanciful architectural out there in 28 mm?

Check out some of the new Miniature Building Authority items. They have new walls, a rug merchant piece, some other buildings for Middle East as well:

Another good source is Steve Barber Models listed under 25mm Market Stall at:

MBA is, of course, excellent, and many of their pieces convert to ruins. And a big advantage; they're pre-painted.

Eureka has some market stalls and civilians in their civilians and vignettes sections. So you can fit in lots of things like a snake charmer, or a rope trick guy or whatever. Take a look at their harem; you don't necessarily need to use the scenery with it, but the monkey and some of the girls and such could fill in some places.

Once Crescent Root gets back up and running, they have lovely buildings.

Dwarven Forge has amphorae and such that are also pre-painted. More Greekish, rather than Arabic, but there you are. But there are also various clay pots in the same set that would work.

Look at Mirliton's Medieval kits. The food shop thing would work well enough; bowls of spices and veggies are pretty similar around the world.

Treasure can be bought from Reaper; they have a couple of old Egyptian treasure piles in the Dark Heaven line. Both sculpted by Bob Olley. You'll have to order directly from them, though. #s 3111 and 3112.

And, of course, we have some lovely buildings made by Mexican Jack Squint. He does nice work very reasonably.

I recently saw an arabian decorative wall with an arch that was smoking. Anybody have a clue? I am drawing a blank trying to remember where I saw it.

Order Reaper from miniature-giant.com. Discounted and free shipping no matter how small an order. Great guys. They have some Arabian (non-Mummy) stuff as well, plus characters. I own some and love them. See the OOP sections.

Grendel has some nice pieces. I have some lined up to work on for Historicon Games
Another source for Ruined Egyptian stuff would be pet shops for Aquarium pieces.
Lastly Hirst Arts – especially Castle Kits link

civilians: try also Perry miniatures -muslim civilians- and irregular miniatures they have some camp followers etc in eastern dress. look interesting.

amzon miniatures in their "legends of Araby" range have some useful types plus treasures, urns, jars etc.

the arabian decorative wall sounds to be Eureka miniatures and is with their harem set!

Eureka also make some stalls and traders/civilians that are really cool

Simple, mud Middle Eastern building are very easy to build. One of the secrets to making them not look like tan boxes is to cut some styrofoam balls in half and attach them to the roof.

I too endorse the Reaper treasure horde with a chariot. Obviously from the pre-Islamic period, but it has some flair.

I'll second argsilverton's endorsement of Perry figures. The Mega Miniatures and Artizan figures also have lots of flair.

If you like fantasy, the Black Tree Design Flying carpet archers are fun. The BTD (formerly Harlequin) camel cavalry and merchant leading a camel are splendid pieces for fun.

Never overlook palm trees and wells. They add a lot to Arab-themed games.

I've made a Kaa-Kaa load of palm trees using squirrel chewed pine cones for trunks and "silk" leaves for the palm fronds.

Great for desert and oasis scenes.
