Hi Guys
Anybody know where I can pick up a copy of this book,I have
wanted for a long time to read this, but cant find a copy,Amazon has it as unavailable. For my money Marshall Rokossovsky was one of the best Soviet commanders of WW2.

One of? Perhaps The Best. Even after having had all his teeth knocked out by the NKVD!

I've been looking for this as well, but I don't think there is an English-language version. This is particularly annoying, because passages of it have been included in a couple of books I've read recently. Based on those it must be a very interesting book – he really doesn't pull many punches when he talks about Stalin and Zhukov.

And his toes flattened…When he was released (from the dead) with a death sentance still hanging over him he enquired whether it would be lifted--The NKVD officer replied "We'll come to that later……"

I had an English version back in the 80s but sold it. Very interesting book.

Never sell anything.
