I just released a modern river assault boat in this scale and it got me to thinking of boats in this scale that are not available. I am wondering if there is interest in things like:

Soviet Landing craft (Type D, Russad LCT)
Soviet gunboats (MO4 Subchaser, Type 1125 and 1124 with T-34 turrets)
Soviet "odd" craft- (armed airboats like the ones in the everglades, Katyushka boats)

German Siebel Ferries, F-lighters, Infantry landing boats (I-lighters), Raumboote

Armed fishing boats

Italian Landing boats (many made in prep for Malta operation) and VAS motor launches

British Fairmile B and HDML Motor Launches (used for Commando raids)

How about Hungarian and Romanian river monitors?

With all the stuff I have on small craft, the list gets REAL long. I have some of the Navwar boats and would not duplicate offerings there. Is there much demand for boats in this scale?

Just curious….

Pesonaly I say Kudos to you as you have opened a new dimention 6mm wargaming Many many operations involved riverine warfare, Both regeular and Partizan forces where involved. with these products availible alot of fresh new scenarios and games become an option. I have ordered 2 of his modern boats for use in Iraq and other places . good job PT Dockyard…..Mikey

Brilliant!
Your list is bang on what I have been looking for!

I wouldn't think there is much of a market for the Eastern European stuff though.

And you would be right not to duplicate what Navwar, Leva & Scotia already do.

Sorry, doesn't do anything for me. I'm a land-lubber.

So why are you are posting on a thread that doesn't interest you ?

You Nobhead.

Would be interested in the German and Italian craft for my Malta campaign, as the only other craft are Irregulars D lighter which is very poor and Leva's Siebel ferry and I have no idea who are producing Leva's products anymore.

Any chance of some continental river barges for Low Countries campaigns (in 15mmm please)?

Definite;y interested. I'm working on Brown water Vietnam at the moment, but would definitely branch out in the future.

If you can do loaded landing craft I'd be interested too, as well as rubber boats for river crossings.

I didn't realize he only wanted answers from people who agree with him.

What he wants is feedback (positive or negative) from people actually interested in the subject.

Not nobheads.

Well Im not interested in them either Dave LOL. Im commited to them in your 1/600 range. But if they are as good as your 1/600 range I think that once word got out there would be an interest and demand. :) Robert

Definitely looking for pro and con feedback.

Partisans, eh? I have thought of that too. I have a great deal of information on the boats used by Tito's Partisan Navy. They had very interesting armament lay outs- US twin .50cal MGs, British 2pdr ATG, Italian 13mm and 20mm, German 20mm Quads and 37mm AA. Tough little boats.

I will likely try one or two in the next four weeks. Likely The F-lighters and Siebels would be way down the road due to their size.

Of the ones listed, what would people like ( i.e. buy) first? Shout out answers everone- chaos is welcome..:)

The price range will be about $5-6 each for a 60' landing boat. Let me know how that sounds, too.

I think that the German Siebel Ferries, F-lighters, Infantry landing boats (I-lighters), Raumboote,Armed fishing boats and Soviet aircars would be popular for those wanting to use them in 1/300. I enjoy them in 1/600.

Definately interested. The more 1/300 stuff the better, and your list would fill some gaps in available models.

Just did the conversion on Navwar's prices. Very curious to see what bthe direct price is versus what the US store the Last Square is offering them for- about a 2X difference.

What is everyon's opinion on the level of detail on these? I have a few of the MTBs and the deck detail is ok but the hulls….eeewww.
