picture Setting aside that spiders actually have eight legs, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for four legged mechs that might be a good base for scratch building one of these guys in 25mm/28mm? Thanks. link |

I think a good start would be the Wraith Golgoth (Black): link You can get them from the miniaturemarket.com for cheaper the the retail price now also. I would do away with the spike feet and add a tube with a flat end (like a nail) for the feet and take off the top portion of the model (the body) and replace it with crab like section with the arms attached on the bottom (I would have to think on this one for a while) Hope that helped |

Haven't seen the movie, how big is that beast? If it'd fit on a 40mm base compared to a 28mm human on a 25mm round base, then the Infinity remotes would work pretty well. |

Looking at the image
it would seem likely that it would shoot its own knees off
yikes! The model idea for the leg "use a tube with a nail for a foot", maybe do this with a spring, like from a click click pen, so the nail head would be the bottom of the foot/then spring/the spring going inside the tube. |

I just assumed it was a LARGE model, it looks like it is about man size in one of the pictures however. |

The T7-T is from the Terminator: Salvation video game. To my knowledge it wasn't in the movie. |

Other than the number of legs, it reminds me most of one of the Rezolution robots. Vatacina Sentinel: link |

I like the idea of using the Wraith Golgoth as a foundation. I hadn't considered the AT-43 Therians but they should work just fine. I had a steampunk spider droid-thing in mind originally, but thats why I threw this out to the group. : ) |

If it is closer to the man size this model may work better: link You could cut at the torso and add the crab like upper portion, you could even use the machine gun arms I would believe. Hope that helps again |

I agree, that looks like a Vatacina 'bot from Rezolution. Although they have 3 legs. |

How about the CSO Stomper Warbot link or the CSO MISU link The upper body on each is close to your picture, though you'd have to find or build the legs. Al | rivetsandsteam.com |

The GZG legged walkers might work too, if man-sized. |

After watching a few videos on the site below, it looks like the T7-T Spider is more man-sized and not huge. link |

Ok, from that video, I'd use either the Vatacina Sentinel (almost an exact match, except for number of legs) or one of the Yu Jing remotes: link They're a little pricey @ 23.50 euros for the pair [edit: pretty much same cost per model as the Vatacina Sentinel), but the detail is excellent and they're just as tall as a human. What more do you want? |

I think we have a winner. I like the look of the Yu Jing remotes and they would require only minimal modification. Thanks. |

Late to the party – I'd be tempted to start with one of these from RAFM. link |

Whiskyrat, that is a nice mini, good find

Late to the party too, but I think this Star Wars miniature would work nicely. It's a regualr crab droid auction Mongo |

Crab droid is priced right and meets the menu requirements. Dude that game looks great! |
