I'm painting some Iraqi Rep Guard army medics. What would they have to show they are medics, red cross, red crescent??Pictures would be great, I've Googled but can only find pics of post war medics with US troops.
Hope you can help, Thanks!

Republican Guard medics dont seem to have carried much in the way of insignia.

Some had a red crescent on the helmet, others just a marked medics bag… Some nothing to distinguish them. Some even carried AKs and from the limited pics I have, most seem to have been armed.

Didn't see any medics when I was there in 1991. however, we did come across an APC that had been converted to a medical vehicle. Large white circles on both sides and back with red crescents painted in them. Also, the vehicle was armed with a 12.7mm mg.
