What rules are good for these periods? Looking for a set of moderns along the lines of Blue Skies or CY6 rules.

Quite a few sets cover the Korean War. Instant Thunder,Pz8 Aerial Combat 1935-65,Phantoms,AirWar: C21 comes to mind. And there is the Bag The Mig supplement for the Bag The Hun set of rules. And Mig Alley from Wings at War. Just to name a few. Robert

If you want 3-D in your game, without hexes, Clash of Sabres is quite good.

There is a single, double-sided quick play reference sheet, with most of the rules included on it, to help keep the game moving.

A real bargain at $11.99 USD a copy, since you can do many other theaters and periods of aerial combat as well, e.g. Turkey vs. Greece, India vs. Pakistan, China vs. Taiwan, the various Arab-Israeli Wars, the Cold War battles, the Falklands Conflict, etc.
