"The Bing" was created on commission by Nikolai Ruskin in June, 2009 as a terrain piece for miniatures gaming (more pics at my site- follow the link below).

The design is an interior for use in a "bar brawl" type miniatures game using 28mm scale miniatures.

The Real "Bada Bing" is a strip bar from the popular HBO series "The Sopranos", and became a big source of inspiration for this project about half way through building it. What began as a run down bar / pub suddenly evolved in to a Jersey strip joint while I was tinkering around with the layout for the stage. There is a staff only area for the dancers and an office for the mobsters that will be pictured here soon- check back again shortly.

Dang! That is GOOD. I like the way the roughness of the red bench chairs gives it an even seedier look! VERY well done. Now all you need are some zombie strippers.

That is sweet indeed, wish I had the patience to make one.

Excellent job!

Very nice, but may I make the suggestion for two things:

1: The dancer poles are usually thinner and brass colored…

2: the stage is a lot "smoother"…ie (no wood slats), that way the 6 inch heels don't get caught in them and they break their ankles…

Other than that, fantastic!!!
Looks like some of the places I um…er…"had to go pick up a buddy from"…yeah…that's the ticket.

Unbelievable. I thought the first pic was an example from a real bar to set the standard!

Fantastic work!

That terrain is just screaming bloody bar fight!

Great stuff,

I could see Rorshach and Night Owl (from Watchmen) busting heads in this place too. Thanks for the great comments so far, I will keep them in mind for the next strip club I make!! :)

I can't wait to see the Hasselfree figs to go with it.

Glorious modeling work. It's the recreation of the mundane details that are the core of creating a recognizable place. I sure wish I had a camera like that as well-great shots!

"Howya doin'?"

I am in the process of adding more pics of "The Bing"; you'll find a menu allowing access to different parts of the club. More on it's way…

Here are a couple of the new areas:

One thing worth mentioning is that the models that this bar was made for are LARGER than 28mm, so the bar is scaled to them (28mm figs and 25mm figs look too small in this joint). I'm looking up the manufacturer now… anyone know the maker of the bartender fig?

Brilliant work! Particularly fine use of lighting to create atmosphere!

I'm in the process of uploading new pics to the various areas of The Bing web pages; the following images are some sudden inspiration using Hasslefree minis, GW Zombies, and the Bing. Hope you enjoy them, more on the way! :)
