Could someone advise me on the best Vallejo model colour to use for the tankers jacket and any other item of the uniform such as cap? I know vallejo have just recently brought out what looks like a superb range of tank colours (panzer aces) including a colour and highlight for the DAK tankers but what colour is the equivalent in the usual model colour range? Any advice appreciated

Vallejo Russian Uniform is a good match to the reed green uniform. The fabric faded quickly, though. You can see some near white caps. To represent veteran troops you can use almost any shade of light brown/khaki.

And the DAK forces also used a lot of Italian, captured French or captured British uniforms -- in various shades of "sand".

Tankers often kept their black side caps.
