I got these painted up, now I need to paint two more MiG-21s, six more MiG-17s, four each of Crusaders and Phantom IIs. Then all need to play the air war over Vietnam is the jet rules for CY6.

Ah, those look very nice.

In the interim, you could try Clash of Sabres. We have them for sale, for $11.99 USD a copy.

I highly recommend them. They are hexless, but great fun for dogfighting in 3-D.

Soviet pilots nickname for the MiG-21 it means 'flat iron' it either comes from the shape of the MiG or because it was underpowered fighter pilots used the same nickname for cargo aircraft.

Su-15 Golub Mira -dove of peace

MiG-23 Chiborashka – a cartoon character or Krokodil

MiG-25 Chemodan – suitcase or Gastronom due to its liking for alcohol

MiG-27 Krokodil

Lastochka (swallow) was used for many fighter aircraft but inparticular the MiG-29

The MiG-21 was also called the Balalaika
