I'd like to order from them, has anyone had any luck with them lately? |

Got a modest order in with the UK. I'll let you know when they arrive. |

No. After waiting 12 months for the balance of an order I got a reply (after numerous attempts to contact them) and was promised a refund on the balance. That was about 3 weeks ago. I am not optimistic. |

Y'know, even though I'd very publicly written them off as a waste of space on the previous BTD thread, I'd be back like a shot if they could get their act together. Found an independent trader selling their blister-packs at 'Battlegroup North' WWII show a couple of weeks ago. That was a nice little find. |

I ordered from the US branch this year and got my order in about 1.5 weeks. |

I placed a first time order with BTD in the US in December. Their web page states that credit cards are not charged until the order is ready to ship. My card was charged a day or two after I placed the order. After two months I still hadn't received my products, so I filled out the comment form on their web page. 1/2 my order came about a week later. A month after that, I sent another message and finally received the remainder of my order. The email replies I received from BTD were polite and were within a couple days of my emails. When my figures did arrive, they were in great shape and exactly as I ordered. So my experience seems to be a "middle of the road" experience. I've heard/read better and worse. The figures (ancients) are very nice. I've been contemplating whether or not I should place another order since I received the first batch. I would *really* like to buy more, but would feel more comfortable if I had more confidence in the process. |

Had a long wait last year but all resolved (Still not painted the figures!) Ordered some Fantasy foot and camals for my WOTR project about 2 weeks ago, they arrived today and lovely figures they are too, Tally Ho! |

I was hesitant (after reading these reviews) but decided to email them with a list of the items I wanted. John Olson responded quickly telling me what he had and what would need to be ordered. I adjusted my order and placed it. I got an email confirmation and a return phone call to my home to discuss payment. Three days after I paid I had the figures in my mail box. I was pleased with the service. I would suggest US customers email with what they want before placing the order. Thanks BTD Matt Webster |

An update. I *thought* my order was with the UK, but apparently hopped the Atlantic at some point. With no box on my doorstep, I sent an email this past week to the address that had confirmed my order. A response a couple days later indicated they were awaiting restock from the UK and that it might be a few more weeks. Fortunately my order was not time sensitive. The tone of the response seems to indicate that John Olsen realizes something is not right, which is a big improvement from when Rise of the West held the US distributorship. Whether the problems can be addressed or will be addressed is another matter. |

Black Tree Design obviously gets a lot of business, especially from me
never had any problems, it takes a while, but thats just how it is
.Small company, large demand, do the math. They sell nice, cheap minis. Humans are not perfect, in this perfect world we live in, we tend to make mistakes. not all goes as planned sometimes. Best Regards, tom |

I ordered from them once before and there was no problem. I've seen all the complaints here on TMP, but I decided to take a another chance on them today. I'll let you know how it turns out. |

My order of Boers from July 2019 finally turned up last week. I had given up and lost interest so it was a nice surprise. Definitely not great but still better than Achesons Kongo Kickstarter which rates as the worst retail experience of my life. |

I initially thought the first entry was 2019… Wow, this has been going on for a LONG time. |

Highly recommend you avoid this company at all cost – you will get screwed and robbed in the end. I STOPPED buying from them a long time ago – so many better companies and figures out there. |
