Alex sent me sokme of his Forge of Ice minis. I've started an album to show off my progress on the figs and bits.

First up was the prehistoric Venus mini. I love it! Just a tiny bit of a mold line on one side. It took longer to put her on a base than to clean her for painting.

Then came one of his generic ancient shields. I gave it to a Foundry Elf Nymph and painted her up sort of Ægyptian-ish for use in WarGods. The shield was clean-up free.

Like the painting but the five pop ups from the site hid it!

First up was the prehistoric Venus mini.

I wonder what the sculptor intended with the "head"?

Great stuff, Clarke!

(my pop-up blocker kept any pop-ups from, um… popping up.)

I'm not sure what the head is supposed to be – it might be representative of braided hair or some sort of woven basket headdress. I don't think that the scientists have come up with a definitive answer yet.

But as the sculptor of the mini (not the original Venus of Willendorf, of course!), I was just trying to emulate the original!

Or they could have just not been good at faces. The original, not Alex. ;)

Nah, I'm not any good at faces, either… :)
