This post, and its fascinating battle report, has reminded me of how it might be helpful when you are showing something like this to mention which rules you are using. Looks like TSATF, but I can't be certain.

Ah, looking back one post, I see that I was right, and that my rules-fu is pretty strong. Thanks for a great AAR.

Sorry about that, but I did plan on mentioning the rules. And yes, it was The Sword and the Flame. Since our group helped Larry development the original set back in the 1970s, that is what we use for our Colonial games.

I really like this kind of thing. Nice, straightforward board with lotsa troops and simple terrain. Very cool.
