Hi Guys Had recently posted finished picts of my Gordon Highlanders, but I have decided to change the basing style, have now based them for DBM on 60mmX40mm bases, 12 figs to a base,I like them better this way, have all posted my Buffs and 95th rifles, the Buffs and Gordons still need a 2nd standard bearer added to the base (yet to be painted) all comments and criticism welcome (I realize the Highland officer should be in grey overalls) Gordons picture picture picture Buffs picture picture picture 95th Rifles, have used some old door mat fibers for the base picture picture picture picture |

Based for DBM? What's that? It looks a good scheme. I like the rifles in the jungle, I remember one chap years ago had some Greek peltasts in even heavyer going, trees, brush boulders, you could hardly see the figs. regards David B |

Hi Guys sorry DBN, DBM is a ancients/medieval rules, they are both based on a set of rules called DBA |

OK, I hope Phil B can get HFG out this year, and then onto the sub-sets. DBN needs a good edit, and the gonzo stuff removed, but the reports are of people having a fun game. I think your 60 x 40 is a good choice for the period, gives you enough space to show officers, musicians and still look like a unit. Will you put one or two guns per base? David B |

Hi Evilgong Yeah I think 60X40 is better than 40X40 allows a better looking unit, as far as guns go I will try 2 but I think it will look to crowded so may just use one with more gun crew and do a bit of a dio base. |

Love the rifles in the long grass. |

Lovely stuff; but paint over the white lace trim on the officers' facings. Gentlemen didn't wear regimental lace, don't you know? Sometimes, very flash regiments had special epaulette colour trim (gold or silver) around the collar and cuffs and the front seam of the coat for officers. |

Hi Dan Looking good mate. May I sugest you go with 5 figs wide by 3 deep for other Europeans, with maybe a mounted officer (or some skirmishers) on the flanks. The tall grass (wheat?) is great. I would have thought your next project would have been French, but Bavarians are a good choice,
;o) Oh, and as discussed before, leave the officer in trews. Much nicer than the dull grey overalls! Cheers |

Fantastic, love the figures and the basing. Are they all AB figures? Josh |
