It wouldn't surprise me if I'm the last person to find out about this, but ABC is remaking that old series from the 80s, V. link I loved the original show when it was on. I don't know how good this new one will be, but at the very least it's got the Brazillian babe from Serenity in a skin-tight space suit, and that's a big plus! |

When I was a kid, Diana was one step down from Darth Vader on my list of bad guys that scared the crap out of me. I VIVIDLY remember seeing her eat that parakeet. |

"What figures would you use to game this show?" I don't know offhand what I would use for the aliens or the pro-alien human forces, but even before I heard about this, I had started building a 'kinda' futuristic rebel group using Hasslefree and Copplestone partisans and scavengers. I was thinking of something along the lines of Children of Men, but I bet they would work for a V-style resistance group. |

Wow. Morena is simply HOT!!! "Just make sure not to ask anything that will paint us in a negative light" "or this interview is cancelled" Hmmm . . . odd that Hollywood would write something like that into a script in this new political environment. Could there actually be a resistance member within Hollywood? :) CC PS. I hope they come up with better special effects: YouTube link |

Looks like a good remake. The original one was good, if a bit too slow moving at first. |

I would love to see this having just watched it in two weeks on re-runs. As for figures – how about 15mm humans with the heads from a fantasy lizard? Andrew blog.kings-sleep.me.uk |
Hexxenhammer | 21 May 2009 12:26 p.m. PST |
I'd want to do this in 28mm. For main character Visitors, I'd want a 3 pack: human, human face half ripped off, and full lizard. |

I don't see how this new one will have anywhere near the impact of the original. Anyone else still get shivers at that scene where they turn the lights on in the hibernation chamber
and it's huge.. and Martin says "There's another basic shortage on our planet
". And that's because of the way it came across the FIRST time they saw it?[1] The original series was crazy at the end, but it worked when you saw it cold -- because it just kept asking you to believe ONE more thing
every time you'd got established with what was REALLY going on, it would pull another stunt off. This time round everyone'll know they're carniverous lizards who are stealing the water right up front. How is that going to work? [1] It was shown in 1984 in the UK. 2 hours a night for a whole week. I was *ELEVEN*. Sci-fi TV was never the same after that

Everyone will not know because the first time was a long time ago and most of those watching did not see the first one. Many of us who did see the first one don't remember it that well. Also the most recent King Kong worked out pretty well, give most of us knew the story. They have to give us great special effects and a more in depth story line. About the 2009 remake on ABC (which premiers Nov. 3): abc.go.com/shows/v link Man. If Morena asked me to submit, I would gladly accept her as my overlord! I love that line . . . "The world is in such bad shape, who wouldn't welcome a savior right now?" CC |

Oh man, here come the paranoid critics with their short memory crap again . . . link What's with these crazy people? Must they always find hidden connections where there are none? C'mon, this is not a new 2009 concept or language. The original show was done in 1983. And the Twilight Zone episode before that was done back in 1962. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, right? I say just enjoy the damn cigar without reading so much into it. CC |
