Hi all,

I'm seeking for a terrain generation system suitable for the Eastern Front of WWII, for we've been trying the generation system included in FOW ruleset and are quite unsatisfied with it -too vague and generalistic.

It would be great if such a system provided for different feature tables depending on a predominant landscape (i. e. hilly areas, marshlands, built-up areas and so.

Thanks!

We use Google Earth.

One of the guys in the campaign locates likely places for us and we print off the terrain.

Granted this is modern terrain but . . . it works really well.

Or use the system from The Perfect Captiain's "Red Actions" campaign system…

Command Decision has a nice one, in my opinion, but you'd have to buy the rulebook to get it.

Simple: It's the steppes. There is no terrain. Play on a pool table.

We had a scenario and terrain generation system in Fire! Ogon 1 and Freur! back in the 1980s. 1000s of different scenarios could be generated.

The scenario generation part did not get published in the Time Portal passages special issue.

Mmmm… thanks for your help, guys. Although difficult to fit completely to the campaign we're running, some of the websites and ideas provided here will help me for sure.
