I'm following up on my report I posted last week regarding the Slurpee cups. TMP link As Inverse had stated, the Bikes were about the size of a Space Marine Bike. As they are simply robotic bikes I can accept the top of them just about matching the height of a 28mm figure. Picking up several more at a local 7-11, which was selling the straws alone for $1.69 USD each. The bases themselves are a little wider than a standard Now on my way back home I stopped off at Toys R Us. Turns out they were already dumping all the Terminator toys at 30% off. The HK was on sale for $16 USD and I had a $10 USD gift certificate in hand. Doing the math, I quickly realized that this came under the limit I said I would spend on something like this. So I left with an HK under my arm. The fusealge is made of a dark metallic green hard plastic. It has foldup landing gear and a pair of spring loaded missiles. The turbo-fan engines are mounted such that they tilt for VTOL movement. there are a pair of small guns in the front and back tucked around the landing gear. I don't have my camera with me otherwise I'd be posting some photos right now with some 28mm figures. As a flying robot represented in the movies, it seems about right for 28mm. Making it into a manned vehicle would require modifications for a cockpit as there really isn't much provisions for a believable pilot. For a smaller scale, say 15mm or 6mm it really starts to make a great body for a dropship. |

Ah another thing I just noticed is that there is a compartment that opens up in the front that allows you to store the 3.75" T-600 Endoskeleton that comes with it. If you remove the front guns and relocate the front landing gear, this makes a good loading ramp for a 6-15mm scale dropship. |

It is a great find! I do intend to use mine for 28mm, but I will build a ventral troop carrying pod and possibly a cockpit. It may be a bit small for 28mm, but it looks great as a scenic addition on the gaming table. Jason |

The T700 is about the same size as the toy Iron Giant from the video/dvd. I thought he was a bit dark so I gave him some silver highlights. he'll make a fine addition to my Robot Minions army. Muah ha ha ha. |

I'll use mine as a 28mm dropship. If it were any bigger it would dominate the table. I'm thinking of 'basing' it by using styrene/brass rods mounted into the recessed screw holes on the underbody. Three posts should support the model nicely. |

I'm going to use mine for 28mm gaming too. I wonder if our Toys-r-Us has theirs on sale

Here's a pic I found of the 7-11 straws. I really like the bike. picture |

They look good, but the nearest 7-11 is half a tank of gas away. :( I'm using HotWheels Dodge Tomahawk motorcycles with HeroClix chainguns attached to either side. Not as pretty, but gets the point across. ;) Picture: link Al | rivetsandsteam.com |

I just picked up 3 each of the bikes and big robots, but I only have one HK so far from Target, and I never saw any at the local Toys-R-Us. Hopefully a road trip will help with that, but you never know. Thanks for the heads up on the 30% off sale, and hopefully that's just to get folks into their stores this weekend and not an indication of the quality of the film

The terminator toys are also available at Amazon, if you can't find them at your local big-box store. |
