and I kinda like them. As a 25mm gamer that has spent the last couple of years moving up to 54mm
I feel so dirty. I might have to make 10mm and a 54mm AWI armies
I don't know. |

The main advantage to 10mm and smaller figures is that they fit into the hypodermic needle better when I have to give myself another fix. Otherwise, I'm another old fart gravitating towards 54mm, as my eyes don't see the micro figures too well anymore. Plus, I can use the 54mm figs I had as a kid

Chris, Was it to you that I sold all that 10mm Little bighorn stuff? Albert |

I didn't know there WERE 10mm Pony Wars figs. Thanks, John |

You can let your 54mm figures play with your 10mm stuff. I have. I used to have a diorama that I would add to my 1/35 scale WWII games showing German staffers playing with micro armor on a small wargames table. |

Mr. Custer, Sorry for the delay in responding. No, 'twasn't me. I have some Little Bighorn 54's, but I'm not sure when I'll ever get around to them. |

I've commented elswhere (and perhaps too frequently) that I decided to try 10mm for FPW. Found them a lot easier to paint thatn I'd expected and basing them on 15mm basinmg at about double the number of figures gives a nice sense of mass. There aren't many periods in the last 30 years that I haven't taken up but if, as and when I considerv another it could well be 10mm again. At 900+ this is my most hit Flickr picture link |

I am doing 10mm WW2 (Painting them as I type) love the scale, but also love 54mm, so we are in the same boat my friend. |

The nicest thing about 10mm is that you can base each unit, then just spray paint it in the base color and start gaming. Sort of like board gaming with miniatures :) Us old guys can get the best of both worlds that way

With the incredible quality of detail of some 10mm, I bet you miss some undercuts doing that. |

the speed for 10mm output is amazing. I did the entire Russians at Zondorf – regimental scale – in 6 weeks (after work). And they were good enough to attract folk to the gaming table and pursuade them to take up the scale and period. hint – a slightly brighter main uniform colour than usual, and a watered down brown ink wash does 80 percent of your figure. then its just the detail – skin, guns, boots, trim and belts – and you are done. The figure detail does the hard work, and the mass effect and some large flags win all the attention. link |

10mm is easier than people think, for although as Jeremy points out, they have a lot of detail, they don't have the insane amounts that the 'easier to paint' 25/28mm does, and much can be done with block colour and dry-brush. If you can't see it at 20cm then don't worry (though I feel guilty when I see the sorts of paint jobs some of you do on them close up). |

I can paint two or three 10mm figures in the same time frame as one 15mm. Also, I paint my figures fairly nicely with much detail work
they do look pretty good both close and from a distance, IMO. |

they do look pretty good both close But you'd be a better painter than me |

But you'd be a better painter than me Try one of those magnifying visors
I swore I wouldn't buy one and now I won't paint without it. |

I'VE GOT ONE. It just shows me how bad I am |

I sold them all off. I put them in large units on a table and looked at them from a couple of feet away and all I could tell was that they were large units--which is okay for some people--but not for me. |
