A few of you guys were asking for some comparison pictures of minis from various manufacturers, so after doing a lot of work cleaning for Mother's Day, I took these pictures to post before my parents arrive for dinner. There is a mix of Sci/Fi and modern miniatures from a number of manufacturers. I will try and get them labeled as time permits, but they are mostly Rebel, GZG, The Scene, Alternate Armies, Spriggan and Splintered Light. Some were painted by myself, a lot were done by Jason (AKA Hrothgar the Smelly) and few by others or no painted. The basing is not all 100% the same, so pay attention to it. I tried to even it out some where possible, but there are a few minis such as the Rebel Miniatures Fedayeen that are much smaller than say the Rebel Armed Gunmen.

Just FYI, but the Ghetto Fabulous Rebel Mini Gangers and Hunters are conversions by Jason, so they are not on the Rebel mini site to buy! Mine are looking for a used Purple or Pink Convertible Caddy if any of you know where they can get one.

Let me know if there are some more you need to see that I missed and I will try and add them in if I have them (very likely if they are SciFi). I need to get some of the Khurasan stuff up here, but have not gotten to work on it yet. I did get my Hammer's Slammers panzers and combat cars done, but to all the other stuff yet.

Hope this helps you guys a little,

Jeff

Credit for the conversion work all goes to Jason (AKA Hrothgar the Smelly). When he first admitted that he painted one of the Zombie hunters in a pink pimp suit, I was a little worried. He later told me that additional members of the band were made a little more funky. When I got the box of painted minis back from him I had no idea what to expect, but after seeing them, I was very happy. Not too many people have a crew of Zombie hunters in 1970's fashion. Now they can be used for multiple time periods! I have more than those pictured, and Jason did a great job on the lot of them.

Glad you enjoyed Jason's hard work.

Thanks for putting up the pics! I try to resist 15mm as much as I can, but the next chunk of paypal I get might go to Rebel Minis…

Did I miss anything someone really needed comparison pictures of? I left the camera and stuff out in case someone had a request, but the offer goes away in a couple days since my wife is absconding with the camera for her trip to Japan. My other camera does not take as nice a macro picture. Let me know and I will try and get some more pictures up before she goes. I have a lot of GZG, Rebel, Alternative Armies, 15mm.co.uk, Old Crow, Combat Wombat, Laserburn, Splintered Light . . . . . . you get the picture!

Jeff,

I love the comparison shots. They are exactly what I needed to push me and buy the Splintered Light Ghouls:
