At the behest of the participating players, I present to you a report on the latest skirmish in our France 1940 campaign:

As the years went on, it would be remembered by many names: "Murder in the Rue Morgue", says the GM.

"Petit Arras" was how the French called it, and the battle of Confimand, or "German Jam", for the British commanders who were there…

*Note -- this was our usual, somewhat unique PBEM system of double blind, 1:1 skirmish gaming -- 5 players this time:

Thanks – sounds like a great little battle was had by all. So how long did the game take in total?

Unfortunately, I didn't make note of when it began. It went at the pace of a turn every day or two. There were 18 turns, so, maybe a month for the whole thing.

About a month -- we we're going at the rate a little slower than a move a day. Also we had 5 players this time, a little bigger game to handle for me, so that also dragged it out a bit …

Bravo!

This is one of my favorites for France 1940.

Looks to have been a lot of fun.

Cheers,

McDriver

Here's another France '40 game we played recently, with the players changing sides, somewhat. Chris became the French, I became a Brit, and Glen became the GM. (Note that the player with the user name britain1 was thus really on the German side!)

Looks to have been a really exciting game.

Nice to find so many pictures with loads of 20mm stuff on your website too.
