I was under the impression, from an earlier thread on Winged Hussars, that TAG made great ones. I need one really nice Winged Hussar to paint for a gift so I ordered some from WarWeb here in the States. Imaging my surprise when they arrived, beautiful castings that they are, with no wings!

Other than Essex, Hinchcliffe, the old Ted Suren "Willie" figures and the new plastics (and of couse GW), where are the wings? And yes, I know OG do them, but I only need one (2 or 3 at the most if I paint a couple as "spec" figures for someone else, not a bag of them). Any suggestions, short of scratchbuilding wings?

TAG themselves do packs of wings

but there may be too many a pack for your purposes!

From their catalogue pics, the wings should be included though. Did you ask them already??

It seems to be just a silly mistake on their side!

Cheers

IIRC, Redoubt do a winged hussar.

COntact warweb. I got two packs of panther tanks once from them without tracks. They made good, but it took some time.

Yep – follow Badger22's advice and contact them – they forgot to include the wing!

Sysiphus05 May 2009 8:32 a.m. PST

Contact Hinchcliffe; their wings are the best.

Yes, wings are included as part of the set. They just screwed up and forgot to put them in.

I thought the TAG hussars had only one wing?

the redoubt wings are excellent.

Issue resolved, it was a goof and WarWeb is getting me the wings. And by the way, the TAG Hussars are great, as is WarWeb's service!
