Has anyone had the opportunity to compare Crusader's(Rank & File)28mm ACW range with that of Foundry & Perry? Are they compatible figures? Thankyou. |

I can only provide you some insights on the Foundry and Perry mini's I believe the Foundry ACW range was sculpted by the Perry brothers over 10 years ago. They look fine. But I prefer the current Perry range. Their poses and anatomy is absolutely flawless. A lot has been said here about the historical accuracy of the Perry plastics infantry. There's some comments about Confederates only wearing jackets with nine buttons, and Federals only wearing jackets with four buttons. I've got tens of thousands of photos of confederate and union soldiers, and what I've noticed is that their gear was incredibly varied. So I don't buy into people saying "confederates only wore this kind of itm, union wore only that kind of item." I think it's rubbish. Both were issued all kinds of variations of jackets so I'm perfectly fine with my confederates wearing 4 button jackets. besides, I could show you pictures that they did, as well as 5,6 7 and 8 button jackets. |

I agree that Perry's ACW figures are excellent. They do look similar in style to Crusader's range. I'll get some samples. |

Wow, if I thought that the Union only wore coats with 4 buttons I would just file off the extra's, I wouldn't avoid a great line of figures on such a little item as that. |
