I am considering starting a Eureka 100 Club request for some Knights of St. John circa 1565. I would like to do some gaming of the siege of Malta, and there really are no suitable figures that I know of to represent the Knights. They would be knights on foot, in a variety of armor, helmets, shields, and weapons, all with tabards. A group with the variety of their Gendarmes is what I would want. So, I wanted to see if there might be others interested in some figures like this.

It appears the army is to small to be covered in the FoG army list books…so a non-starter there. Not sure how they will appear in the new DBMM book IV army lists.
Good luck with them and your siege gaming.

I suppose those rulesets are currently the most popular, and would have strong influence on figure sales, but I know there are lists for them in Piquet: Band of Brothers and DBR. So I would think there might be a little interest out there. Maybe just wishful thinking.

Fog Sshmog, I'm doing Malta myself now, for the Spanish Fury Actions rules (free on the web).

Its far too small for a FoG game – the only non siege engagements were skirmish level encounters. Even the 'last battle' after the siege was lifted is really just a big skirmish.

I'm slowly working through the Ottomans in 28mm, and was about to order some Corsairs from Eureka later this year to that end.

However, 100 club for the Knights is an excellent idea. I will be in with both boots on this, Bogus.

Post if you put in the initial request.

Keraunos,
Good to hear there's at least one other interested party. This may be just enough impetus to get the project rolling.

If you have any ideas or input concerning what you would like these guys to look like, please let me know.

I've not put much thought into them as yet, working on the Ottomans first.

This is my feeble work in progress page, with a couple of extra bits of late.

I've decided to go ahead and put in a request with the 100 club. I will let you know details once I correspond with Eureka.

I checked out your blog, nice work so far. You are way ahead of me. I will have to give those rules a look, as I have been trying to find a good set that will work for some siege of Malta gaming.

I put the request in with Eureka, they are listed as Maltese Knights of St John c 1565 in the Ancient and Medieval category of the 100 Club. I put myself in for 24 to get things started. So, spread the word! Nic from Eureka told me the more orders they receive, the more variety they can provide.
