I just added a couple of Khurasan Space Demons to my Flickr page:
link

I decided to do them in a desert creature scheme.

These are the first two painted in a super quick fashion.
VERY good sculpts that are a blast to paint. I was taking a break from painting a Scots-Irish warband, so I'll finish the rest of my Assault Warriors and Hammerheads later.

Nice painting on some cool miniatures.

Those turned out great. I like that color scheme a lot.

These are, indeed, good sculpts and fun to paint. I only have infiltrators right now, hopefully I'll have the assault guys by the end of the week.

These look great! Mine were next on my list to paint, but my wife decided that I needed to paint some Woodlanders by Splintered Light first. So nasty aliens defeated by too cute critters. Have to keep the wife happy!

"So nasty aliens defeated by too cute critters."

Well, at Cold Wars I kept telling David McBride that I was going to have a game where Rebel Minis' Earth Force invades the happy woodland home. You could do the same with the aliens when you get them painted. :)

Roderick,

My Space Demons will invade contemporary Earth. I planning on Space Demons vs Rebel Minis SWAT, gunmen, etc. This will be a Xeno Apocolypse.

great work on those space demons. I like the desert colors. the detail is amazing!!!

I have not painted mine yet, but the detail is AWESOME

"This will be a Xeno Apocolypse."

Now that just sounds fun! Of course, I'd have to work in the Greys creating zombies with their mind control ray guns…

Rod, what do you think the probe is for?

JRacel28 Apr 2009 9:37 p.m. PST

Well, at Cold Wars I kept telling David McBride that I was going to have a game where Rebel Minis' Earth Force invades the happy woodland home. You could do the same with the aliens when you get them painted. :)

I can do that with lots of bad combination of stuff . . . even better, I can invite David and his Dad over to play since they live here in town! I can have US Marines invade the Woodlands and we can use Ambush Alley to play the Woodlander Insurgency! I just got some of the Dark Age Buildings and yet to be released Pumpkin houses today from David, so my village to invade just needs some paint.

Jeff

(P.S. Almost forgot, Woodlanders have a special ability called "Aren't They so Cute!!!" that is modeled after the Traumatic Zombie Rule in Ambush Z. Very bad news for the Marines.)

Roderick,
Maybe the Greys bring the Xenomorphs to aid in their conquest of Earth. The Greys control the Xenos by producing a pheromone that imitates the Space Demon queen. The Space Demons reproduce by injecting eggs into human hosts. The developing larvae turn the host into a rampaging flesh-craving zombie. After a few weeks the larvae grow too large and burst out of the host and develop into small adults.

The Grey conquest will unravel once the inevitable happens and the Space Demons produce a Queen and King that will challenge the Greys for control of the hive. This gives the survivors their chance

Thanks for the pics! Makes me want to jump into 15mm headfirst…

GAH! Repeat to self: I'm not starting another scale.

Very nice job. 15mm is looking extremely good these days.

nycjadie29 Apr 2009 5:56 a.m. PST

Those are fun. Great job.

Missed this thread the first time around. Nice work on the SD! One of the most satisfying parts of making these is seeing how the customers will bring them to life, as the sky's the limit.

Hey Jeff, that gives me an idea for what SD to make next -- maybe I'll do super-adorable SD to sway the wives! Maybe a clutch of aliens lands in an enchanted forest and uses cute little mice as hosts.

"Aaaawwww, just lookit the little guys, they're so GET IT OFF MY FACE!!!" evil grin

PS: Hrothgar, noticed your Saxons too -- we'll be releasing 21 different poses of later Anglo-Saxons/Anglo-Danes, each of which will be able to choose round shields or kite shields, in just a few weeks, sculpted by Mike Broadbent. You can never have too many Saxon poses! grin
