Hi

I am trying to identify 2 Grenadier Miniatures from 1984.

I think they may be Dragon Men from the Fantasy Lords range but I am not 100%.

I have included a link to pics to help with their identity.

If anyone knows of any links which can show further info on the figures that would be appreciated.

Thanks

They look similar to the Fantasy Lords ones but the heads seem different… I have some of the FL ones at home, will compare them when I get back in the morning.

Cheers Mick.

I have seen pics of the Dragon Men but they do look different from the ones that I have.

I wasn't too sure if these were one in the same, hence the query.

The figures do have what looks like the code M54 stamped on the base but they are well worn so hard to make out.

Yes. both of those pictures are Grenadier Dragon men from the mid to late 80's.

I have a collection of 40 or so of these and keep finding new variants.

Stuff of legends refernece is here…
link
that only mentions codes
36 – Dragonmen
117 – Dragonmen
125 – Armoured Dragonmen
153 – Dragonmen specialists

these came in a 3 figure blister as i have an unopened one. So thats 12 figures, but i only have ten variants. 2 of them are escaping me!

code 36 can be seen here on the lost minis wiki… it doesn't have pictures of other codes. picture

If you're interested i could take a picture of my collection …

Hi Brandlin

Thanks for the info.

I wasn't 100% sure but with your help I think it has been cleared up.

I did have a pic of the code 117 Dragonman and as the other figure is wearing an armoured breastplate I guess this will probably be code 125?

A link to a picture of your collection would be great.

Many thanks

Guys, you should join the CollectingGrenadierModels Yahoo group: link

The Files section of the group contains PDF files of several Grenadier catalogs and bulletins.

The 1987 catalog includes photos of blisters 117, 125, and 153. The scans are a little blurry, but they should be good enough to let you identify what you have, and what you still need.

The 1991 catalog includes a photo of blister 36.

There's also a Dragonman in Julie Guthrie's Fantasy Personalities line, blister 876, picture in the 1991 catalog and on the Stuff of Legends site: picture

jpattern – i am a member but thought all the files of pics had been moved to the wiki i linked to above?

jpattern228 Apr 2009 12:42 p.m. PST

The pics, yes, but I don't think the catalogs themselves moved.

That's a nice collection of Dragonmen you have started, by the way.

If I ever come across the missing figures Brandlin I will let you know.

Thanks for info.
