Which color? Sea Blue (the dark one), Intermedeate (sp) sea blue (the medium colored one)? |

Remember that you can only ever achieve an approximation. Shortages of pigment produced variations. Poor quality pigments could produce easy fade variants, which meant within a few weeks of painting individual ships could vary quite a bit from others in the same scheme. Faded and washed out shades are mentioned in many photographs. For the wargamer this is a lucky break because as long as you have something approximately right
.you cant go wrong. Paint chips are useful guides, but remember that you must make the shade much lighter for small models due to the effects of light given off from objects of different size. |
