Anyone do a conersion/ship designs from B5 to full thrust system or does everyone just play ACTA?

Actually there was an official supplement that did just that. For more info check out this link: link

there are a number of sites with material about converting B5 into straight FT

here's a couple to get you started – just google something like full thrust Babylon 5 or B5 full thrust (or any permutation thereof) – would have done some more but i'm on me way out of the house…..

- scroll down til you reach "Indy's [old] B5-specific items"

beware some links relate to the variant rules in the Earth Force Source Book which contains weapons systems etc that aren't covered in the straight FT books

IIRC, the only thing not covered in the standard FT rules are the 2-part beam systems – capacitor and emitters. Everything else is in the game, if only in the playtest rules (the UNSC fleet has the variable number of hull rows, for example, and the new quickstart rules cover multiple thrusters).

I use the EarthForce sourcebook rules – they work very well indeed.

Well i have the earthforce sourcebook but it only has a few ships in it, in any case thanx guys!

TheStarRanger12 Apr 2009 9:29 a.m. PST

There are a number of Earthforce Sourcebook sites still on the web with lots of additional ships:

Plus I converted a number of the most common shipt to current FT playtest level rules:

Way back in the "Dawn of Time" the Unofficial FT New group played a number of PBEmail B5 Games (This was, what, 11 years ago? 12?) Dean Grundberg, Mark "Indy" Kochte, me and the whole gang of ne'er-do-wells.

(Give it up for Warmaster W'Kan of the Narn!)

that was "News Group" not New Group.

the EFSB had an unofficial expansion, plus a lot of the B5 weapons had rules in the genre section of the waepons-defenses database put together by noam izenberg
