I wanted to try my hand at at least a vague humanoid shape for sculpting. Wanting to get into Kaiju I decided to sculpt Sachiel, the 3rd Angel and first enemy in Neon Genesis Evangelion. I'm pretty happy with the results. The sculpting medium is Sculpey. Front: picture Side(ish): picture Back: picture Sachiel Posing with Building: picture With Ruler: picture (Note: the mini is more 3 1/2 inches. The picture came out weird.) Now to start working on Unit-01! I'll do Ramiel with plasticard and when I find a big enough ball I'll do Leliel (I have a REALY cool idea for the base). Gaghiel will be made once I build some water terrain. The rest will follow later. As well as some original sculpts! I just need to do some sanding and filing and I'll get him painted up right quick! Some of my reference photos: picture picture picture link Note that some of these come from the original series while others are from the new Rebuild Of Evangelion. Also, the pictures that have one faceplate are before an N2 bomb is used on it (Think super nuke) It then grows the second faceplate as it slightly regenerates (And gets considerably PO'd) |

That's fun stuff
and it's kick starting me back onto my impulse to do something similar
namely making my own version of Yog. Yay! |

"namely making my own version of Yog." Sounds cool I'll have to do Hedorah sometime as well
And Cthulu. I've alway wanted to see Eva Unit 01 go up against him. Cthulu being an ancient and Psionicly lantent Elder God and Eva 01 being the rabid genetic copy of a "god" whose power is raw will (The AT-Field). |

The Sculpt looks great, and I certainly don't want to dissuade the Artistic Impulse, but: I feel obligated to point out the 3" evangelion mini toys from kaiyodo: link link link toycup.com/negeevanatse.html They are quite good, especially for the price. (For _real_ KaiJu terror: use the 8" sculpt of Sachiel w/ 6mm & 3" EVAs: link What rules are you using, BTW? I've run Sachiel in OGRE/GEV with the Angel as a MK-V, and the EVA's as MK-III's (and using standard ogre/gev mini's and stats for the NERV forces
) I can't wait to see your sculpt of Gaghiel

Love the Doms on that website's header. One of my fave Gundam bad guys. |

"The Sculpt looks great, and I certainly don't want to dissuade the Artistic Impulse, but: I feel obligated to point out the 3" evangelion mini toys from kaiyodo:" I have seen those and the new 4inch ones for Rebuild of Evangelion. I pick them up for Evas if I can't do a good job. I haven't tried OGRE. I was planning on running it using Destroy All Monsters with a few twists (So it would be Destroy All Angels???) I might also try it with dirtside II with some homebrew rules. I just need to get my hands on some 6mm modern tanks and some Nerv VTOL look alikes. I could just use paper minis for now. |

I'm thinking I'll go with this Gashapon set auction They're about 4inchs and I can sculpt everything else. Though I might pick up 2 units 03s elsewhere and paint one as Unit 04. auction |

Also (Sorry for the third post) I might do Evangelion and Angel stats in Mekton Z and Z+ |
