I'm doing a review of all of the available 15mm LoA ranges currently available and I realize that some of the current "10mm" figures might actually mix with the smallest of the "15mm" ranges. Brokaw and Hallmark are typically only 14 to 16mm and quite a bit smaller than any other "15mm" range out there. Can anyone point me to any pics of painted or unpainted LoA from Pendraken? Also, is there a US source for Pendraken whwre I might get a few samples? Finally, Clibinarium, I saw a post from you awhile back indicating that you were going to redesign the LoA range for Pendraken. Can I assume that these figures will be more like the AWI and "new" Marlburian figures? And that there might be a little more variety? Any idea on when the new range might be available? What are your thoughts about the size comparison? Bill |

Hi Bill, you're quite right I am in the process of replacing the existing range, I'm working on a new set of dollies (about half way through). I am hoping to have the first of them out by July/August. They'll be much like the AWI in terms of 3 to 5 variants per pack, but not as many packs as the AWI obviously. Height wise they should be the same as the AWI, about 11 or 12mm to the top of the head. |

Great news! Any chance of separate French and Allies, with maybe a little "Copplestone style" on the French? It would be nice to see some extra flourishes and plumes on the French, especially the command and Maison du Roi. Any idea where I could pick up just a few samples of the existing range to compare them to Brokaw and Hallmark 15's? Just some foot command, musketeers and pikemen – maybe 2 to 3 each? Do Pendraken send out small sample orders to the US? Bill |

I love it when people start talking dirty !!! Anything 1660-1720 is ok in my book now. |

Heeeeheeee, but will you you be adding to the Pendraken Revolutionary Wars Range? |

Hmm, not sure on the separation of allies and French, I think the uniforms are too similar. I had 1680-1700 in mind, the high cuffs seem like a 1660/70s fashion. However it depends on the workload; the more time I have the more I'll do. There's a fair chance of me going above and beyond with this range, since I'll be using the figures myself. Revolutionary Wars; well the people who were the engine behind that haven't been in contact recently (and that's not a criticism; we are all busy!), but it can still be resurrected. |

Tiny Tin Troops has a nice gallery of the present range of figures if you are interested. Actually nice figures, but probably quite small compared to my sculpts. link |

Oh God I have these in 15mm but now I'm tempted.. |

Would love to see some for the Dutch Wars with the higher cuffs, matchlocks, apostles, and a little more panache, but I understand economics. Actually, they would work from 1661 to 1680, so a few possibilities for them. Right now only Donnington do them correctly in a smaller scale, in their Armies of Louis XIV range, and Essex with some compromises in their European Armies 1660 – 1745. Bill |

Clibinarum, it just seems sad to have the Infantry done, but no cavalry etc to support them. I am currently painting up (and awaiting delivery of more) of Pendrakens Malburians, I love them, you can either paint them in insane detail, or do a simple main areas of colour paint job and they still look nice en-mass. |

If I tackle the Revolutionary war range, it would be a complete redo, as I couldn't sculpt figures that would be compatible with the existing infantry (my sculpts would look too slight next to them). Detail-vs-simple; very true, and to me that's part of the beauty of 10mm. I go for the insane detail when painting, but simply done massed figs look great if properly executed. |

Ooooh complete resculpt from scratch
.. Revolutionary Wars French, Austrians and Russians please, for Suvarovs fighting in Switzerland. At the moment it would be 10mm if I could get them or Eureka's 28mm which would cost more than buying a small country
Especially as Daz at TooFatLardies is currently working on LFSIII and is making sure they cover the Revolutionary Wars. |
