And those are a great choice, too! We are just getting started and are more geared for gaming. Joel's have much more detail on his ships and his range is much more complete for ships. The crews and guns are comparable in detail between both of our ranges, IMHO. Nice part is you have a choice! Nice to know, eh? Best Tom Dye GFI |

Stone Mountain also does naval guns and crews in 15s – they are beauts. |

I forgot that Stone Mountain indeed had some in 15mm. (Embarrassed since I worked there and must have cast up a slew of them!) Tom Dye GFI |

virginia soldier, If you go to Historicon you check out my game. I have the James river squadron in the Old Glory 10mm. I have a marine detachment, too. If you have any questions about building these ships, just ask. I have built about 15 of them. |

Thanks for all the imput guys. I did check out the Brokaws ships and compared the price againist TG and I have got to say when I looked at a 10mm ship from TG at 40 dollars I did not see any gold at all in it. So I think it is at least in the 10mm line JB ships from Joel. But I will still use the TG ships in 1/600 for they look the best to me when painted right. |

I really depends on what you want to do. Average of $40 USD dollars isn't cheap, however, you will not buy as many 10mm. I have a fairly large collection at 15 and frankly haven't even had a chance to game them all. At 1/600, you will find you will spend about the same (I did) as you buy and can paint a larger number in the same time frame. Really, the deciding factor should be what you want to do. If you want a good size battle on a limited board, or are on a budget (in time/money) go 600. If you like combined forces actions with troops, prefer smaller number of ships actions, or want a old fashion mantle piece ship, go 10mm. |

Rumor has it that Fort Fisher will be played at Historicon or Cold Wars using Joel Gregory's Old Glory Fort Fisher castings and 10 mm ships. This will be a Regimental Fire and Fury game. BTW EJ has the most detailed 10mm Brokaws I have ever played with. |

Darn, someone beat me to doing Fort Fisher. I was thinking about doing it. Oh well, maybe Fort Wagner will be my goal for next year
