-I've been waiting almost a year for an order from Steve at Monolith Designs. Is he still doing business or am I out of the $130 USD USD sent his way via PAYPAL?

Always had super good service from Steve, he has brought my orders with him to the states on 2 occasions to save me money and I have never met him before in my life. BTW I am not a sock puppet for Monolith Designs!! I am sure if you attempt to contact him again he will make everything right for you. Best of Luck in getting this worked out.

Do a topic search for Monolith and have a read of what others have to say. I'm a Monolith anti sock puppet, so don't take my word for anything.

I had a similar incident and it took forever. For me to resolve the whole order (over $200, and it was a 'test' order as I do with any new company I order from), it took about eight or nine months. I tried to contact him innumerous times, but only got three in return.

First one said that he was a tad behind.

The second was that he got sick, and that I should cut some slack. He then said that he would fill my order next week.

Then, a few months later, he said that he sent the package out the month before and it must be held in US customs. About a week later, the package did arrive (POSTMARKED a few days AFTER the e-mail…). When I did open it up, most of the pieces were broken (due to almost no packing material in the box. The box itself looked intact). I decide not to try to send them back for non-broken ones, but decided that it was not worth another nine months of headaches. I just bought a lot of superglue and fixed them myself.

If I were you, I would e-mail him asking the status of your order. Everyday. Until you get a response. And stay diligent.

Its too bad that the service is really horrible, for Monolith really has some great looking models and terrain and I was hoping to order more. If the service was good, I would have ordered it again, but as the ole saying goes, "once bitten, …."

And its a bad sign when Brigade Games, who used to carry this line, has on their web page, "Due to inability to get a consistent supply and new releases, we are dropping this line". Also a bad sign.

Good luck. You will need it.

Sorry to say this but had similar experience in the uk; over a year ago.

I've met Steve who is a great guy and still say hello to him plus the figures are superb but I just gave up buying them in the end and sold all my painted figures in B+B's simply because I couldn't continue to finish the projects.

Perhaps he needs help and it's a real shame as I said I like the guy and the figures are superb

I had one order that took awhile, but I've had several others arrive quickly. All were well packed.

I'd order from Steve again.

Maybe I was lucky. I just recently recieved an order of one each of the 20mm Vietnam buildings.

I did have a little trouble with responses to emails on how to pay for the items from the U.S. since Monolith apparently does not have a secure payment set up for a credit card.

I was offered the Paypal option. I had some concerns that I might have trouble as I would be paying in advance. At least with a credit card the buyer can request the charge not be processed until the order is ready to ship.

I had a reply stating the buildings were in stock and the order would be shipped the next day after my Paypal payment.

I paid with Paypal, I was given a tracking number by Monolith and promptly received the order. All was well packed and arrived in fine condition.

I am very happy to have the buildings.

I've had two experiences ordereing from Steve, and both have been satisfactory. On one order, a mini was left off, and I told him not to worry about it, but he still sent it, all by its lonesome across the Atlantic.

Sorry other folks have had issues, but he's a good trader in my book.

Thanks. New to TMP. Did the search and noted the mixed comments similar to the above. I'll keep sending emails….and waiting….
