Has anyone used these for transitional steam / early ironclads?

If so, what changes have you made to the rules?

I've also thought about converting these to a non-hex basd system:

Any ideas for how to go about this would be very welcome :O)

Thanks

Didn't really see the point since these rules from the same publishing company work quite well as a fleet action:

I used the Blue Steel and Grey Thunder to redo Lissa and it worked nicely

I've used Iron and Fire bit want something that can handle a lot more ships much faster i.e. 30+ per side in an hour or two.

Well, Barker's 'Damn Battleships Again' works pretty well for Fleet actions.

Thanks,

John
