Have you used this? What do you think? I got can and tried it. It's fine, but it doesn't seem any different than the Minwax Polysades (satin tudor color) I used to use except that it's 2x or 3x as expensive. |

Delthos, thanks for reposting that thread as I missed it the first time around. Phil Hendry, not sure I said this when it was first posted, but nice workbench article. |

I have the dark tone and a friend of mine has the strong tone we are going to try them out on two GW Bretonnian archers to see what the results are. I've used mine quite a lot and I must admit I quite like it for quick painted troops especially if you are doing zombies etc. |

I'm thinking of trying out this shading stuff as I'm in great danger of having my various painting projects outlive me. *laughs* Question regarding the use of this Army Painter Shade: I normally prime my miniatures in black. This is because I tend to use the black primer to help me black line the mini. But, as I've read, I want to have lighter colors to work well with the shade. So
I'm wondering if I should reprime these white before basecoating? I'm also considering these color primers that Army Painter sells
but, I'm worried that if I go with this, I'll end up losing detail on my already black primed minis. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks in advance! Cheers! |
