But, but, but…CC!
Lol…now I just have to do it.

It's COOL!

You gonna let me, or fuss about it?

lol…
Don't worry, this ain't my first time to dance, I will sculpt them so that they cast up just fine.

How about it?

…you could have fussed a little bit…lol.

Okay then, but you have to promise to love these guys, and buy at least 30 of 'em.

Michael,

Not to worry, hoses or no hoses, I'll be first in line!

After your prototype, how many poses to you envision there will be?

Also, though grainy, here's another profile shot:

PS. By the way, this is an interesting site about all the weapons they used on the show: link

Okay CC here is what I am planing to do with these.
After I have these last minute detailes sculpted up, and I preview the Base Sculpture here, I am going to convert a Head Chig with the Option to have him with helm or bare headed.
link
There will be 3 Troop poses done.

Then I was going to do a Heavy Chig with a gun like the one they use for their rifle. This would be a larger shoulder mounted affair and this type of Chig would have a targeter on his helm.

The way I am sculpting these allows you to take the 3 leg sets (which I will convert with nice bases), and then glue on the torso/head/and arms. This will give you a kind of GW Marine thing, so you can turn waiste, heads and so on, to get a lot of pose in the figures.

Do not worry about them being easy to break, becuase I have sculpted deep male/female plugs, so you have a good mounting place for each part, that will hold the glue.

The Chig is very large, becuase Chigs ARE Large…lol. I see them as being like a 7 foot tall muscel man. Just look at their suites, they are not weak little things.

This first sculpt is about 22mm. Since most all 15mm have grown to around 18mm now a days, I wanted our Chigs to look like Big Bad A's. So they will stand a full head taller than regulare 15mm humans.

How is that working for you fellows?

Michael,

Man, that is awesome. Can't wait to see them.

So… When can we see some chig greens ?

Top Gun Ace03 Jun 2009 8:56 a.m. PST

Hopefully, I am wrong, but possibly never.

On another thread, apparently the poster (B.A.P.) has been possibly identified as an individual with the name of Mean Old Elf, or something like that, by Bill (the owner of TMP).

Supposedly, this individual tends to make a lot of promises, few of which actually see the light of day.

I really hope he is wrong, since I would love to see the Chigs in production, and to purchase a bunch, but things do not look promising thus far.

Hang Back, Chill, Rethink, And Come Out Strong A Little Later
Well Brothers I have had a few surprises come up over the last 6 weeks. One of my Chief Investors had Uncle Sam kick him with some new Property Taxes, because his Inheritance included his Family Home.

I now have only about 1/3 of the start up money I needed to pay for all of my Production.

The best way for me to start BAP now is to come out a little later than I had originally planned. Now that I have had some time to rethink, this will probably be a good thing, because I will be able to do things on my own, and not owe anyone after the fact.

[…]

That possibly means we won't see any chignauts, since not a lot greens were posted :/

Top Gun Ace03 Jun 2009 11:02 a.m. PST

That's a shame.

If funding is an issue, I wish he would partner with one of the minis companies to do contract casting for him, while he focuses on sculpting, or the other way around.

At least he would earn some money from the project relatively quickly, and we would be able to get the minis before I am too old to see them.

That would help kick off a decent revenue stream to hopefully fund new projects.

Oh well, we can only hope someone will produce them eventually.

With Blue Moon Manufacturing and so many other new figures out there these days . . .

Are there any specific figures you feel would look most like S:AAB Chigs?

BME,

I would love to see a pic or two of what you do have so far.

How is their height in comparison to 15mm humans? Hopefully a couple of milimeters taller?

Thanks,

Dan

I will get some pictures this weekend for you Dan. They are BIG, as they should be.
