Below are some links to pictures of a completed 1/100 scale (15mm), resin, Armaments in Miniature link model of the Pegasus Bridge. I painted the model with Vallejo Model Color (VMC) 153 Pale Gray Blue and Model Air 71046 Pale Gray Blue. I used a combination of air brush and paint brush to paint the model. The roadway is painted in VMC German Gray. I used a couple of different brown and orange colors to get the rusted look. I applied a dark wash after that.

I owe a special thanks to Mr. Marco Severino. He's visited the bridge and talked with the locals to get an idea of how the bridge looked during WWII. He graciously provided me with recommendations on what colors to use.

I also need to thank Dave Schmid for letting me paint the model. Dave will be at Cold Wars coldwars.org .

Thanks Kevin, it has been your brush to win the battle for Pegasus Bridge, much more so than intelligence provided by me!

Oh no you dont! You are my go to guy for aircraft in 1/100th and 1/144th scale, dont you go branching out now!

Seriously, as usual, nice work.

Marc33594, IF your comment was for me, maybe you don't know who I am: my real name is The-Thing-from-the-Dark-Side, my raison d'etre being Dave's Italian slave labourer. So I have already gone branching out since I am not able to make…aircraft, although I indulge in other models' categories. I only wish Boss to put me out of my cage from time to time…

Artifex,

No it was a friendly comment for miscmini. Have even made print outs from on here of some of his reviews and painting tips for both 1/100th and 1/144th aircraft. His suggested color guides, especially using the Vallejo range, should probably be consolidated somewhere for easy reference. Greatly admire his work.

artifex10 Mar 2009 3:54 a.m. PST

Me too, really!

miscmini Fezian10 Mar 2009 12:24 p.m. PST

Stop, you're making me blush. Seriously, thanks for the kind remarks.

Marc33594, if you think the bridge is moving away from airplane minis just wait until you see the TMP Workbench article I've got coming out on 19 March. Kevin
