Feedback would be most appreciated, as I'm looking for a good way to do the rotor.

Enjoy.

Looks good to me.

Diana is still my favorite though.

Looks good to me too. If you want, what I've found very effective for my Vietnam helos is to paint a slight amount of the edge of the clear disk (oppoite each other of course) the color of the blade ends. Rather than do it historically, I made my scouts have small white sections, my gunships red, and the lift helos either yellow (regular) or blue (air cav). It makes it look like a the blured pictures.

Your work always look great. Im really starting to feel inferior.

By the way, how do you do the tail flashes on your aircraft?
Are they a decal?

I believe I have mentioned this before but it bears repeating, I hate you.;-P Joking aside, although the jealousy is real, these are simply amazing. The Gazelle in particular is just jaw dropping. Reference rotors I have always used the shaded line method link however, Darby E I like your idea and will quite happly steal it. Allen57, I think you will find they are hand painted, see my "I hate you" comment. Keep posting your work Gunbird it might encourage me to improve.

Thx gents,

Darby, I'll give that disc idea a try to see what it does for me. Got plenty of plastic for that :)

Allen57, if you mean the Dutch F-16's, they are all freehand. For the rest with tailcodes I just use decals. I never paint anything that can be done with decals, only when it is not avialable and I really really want it :D. I should be updating their cockpits and the Lynxes though and painting a few more, hmmmm…

You are incredible. I tried hand painting some insignia on my 1/300 WWI biplanes with limited success. Oh well, Im off to see my therapist since my inferiority complex is now rampant.

Keep it up. I love your work.

Excellent work! I just did the same Iraqi Gazelles, and I thought they looked good until I saw yours. Great idea of adding the HOT launchers.
