The book came out in 07 but I missed it. Bembo was the son of a Doge and the leading man of letters in Venice, His history covers the time of the Italian Wars. should be a fascinating read. There are now three volumes. The latest came out last year. If you have an interest in the Italian Wars (and who in their right mind doesn't) this is a must read. Even Guicciardini references Bembo.
