Recently me and a few friends of mine picked up the Battlefield Evolution Rule-sets for WW2 and Modern. We are planning to use 15mm miniatures for the games. Are there any bases that seem to fit the miniatures besides penny-basing them. Pennies seem a little large in respect to the miniature. What do you use for single basing 15mm mini's? |

I base my skirmish 15's on 12 or 14mm washers. I used to use bigger, but have since decided they're too large. Besides, smaller bases can be saboted onto movement stands, and when your base treatment doesn't match your terrain (and sometimes its just not going to!), it is less obtrusive. Or you can always use half-inch steel bases like I do for fantasy so I can switch from multi-base to skirmish, though I admit it's far, far less asthetically pleasing for skirmish than round bases. |

I use pennies and washers because I like individual minis and the clean round look of the bases. I also like to have flexibility in my unit composition and the ability to remove individual models to represent casualties. I am still a skirmish gamer at heart and want to use my 15mm stuff for larger games and skirmish, so for me individual bases work best. My storage boxes are lined with very strong sheet magnets the will hold the washers and my pennies have a piece of flex steel underneath. My forces travel happily in their cases without fear of damage. Here are is a link to my recent work were you can see the troops based on washers and the cases I put them in. TMP link Jeff |

For individual 15mm figs I use 1p coins, for blokes on horses I use 2p coins. |

I am using fender washers for basing my 15mm figs on. I use 3/16" ID x 3/4" OD fender washers. I bought 1,500 from a guy on ebay. Try using "fender washer" in your search and look for Erie Fastener – he's selling them. I think anything else might be too small. |

Pennies work best to me. I disagree with them being too big, but that's me. Plus, you can't beat the price! |

Yes, 12mm steel washers, since they work perfect for 15mm troops, and can be attached to a magnetic sheet for multi-figure basing, when needed for some rules, or for storage. |

I use 5p pieces as I found pennies too big. Hate to think how much cash I have invested "under" my figures! VB |

I use SAE #10 washers. They are 1/2" outside diameter (OD). see the "Washers for 15mm figures" Thread for more info: TMP link |
