I sent five boxes of French to Fernando in Sri Lanka and just got them back. Pretty good job. With the 10% discount then in effect they cost $1.44US each, plus postage there and back, etc., which probably added about $50US. With the pound down to near record lows, the figures cost about $.52US each, so it all works out to about $2.20 USD per painted figure, including postage. Not bad! This is a great way to do the "bulk" troops while painting the generals, staff, Guards, unusual units, etc., myself.

Next time, I will paint some samples first, so the figures will come back closer to my "style", but I have no complaints.

I'll do it, but it's going to take a while to base 210 figures.

While we're waiting to see what Fernando can do, I'm posting a link to the unit that I've recently completed.

tonydbham:

Grest job! You easily beat Fernando. My guess is that you would charge more than $1.44 USD to paint them?

That's "great job," of course.

I'm going to my first show of the year next Sunday (WMMS-West Midlands Military Show) so they'll be blooded in the game I've organised. 16ft table French v Russian 1812.
Hopefully some of the new Perry figures will be out although they're not schedulked for release until mid March
