Who make the best Taliban or Iraqi insurgents?

I'm just looking for good physical proportions in 20mm, lead or plastic: Liberation look quite nice but they suffer a little from the no-neck-big-hands syndrome. Britannia are also good – but the legs are a bit too 25mm.

What should I buy? Help!

Have you actually seen Liberation in the flesh? Cos it dont sound like it. ;-)

Damn fine figures.

If you are a member on The Guild, check out Big P's lovely Mujehedin army…

Have you looked at Caeser's plastics? Check out pics at PSR.

Thanks,

John

I like the Liberation ones best myself, but if you don't that's understandable. many of the guys on The Guild use plastic insurgents by a company whose name I can't recall. But here's the link to the group… link

Mars do a set in 20mm plastic, they are a rip off from the Esci Mulim Warriors set but they look okay.

Stan Johansen has a 20mm range. I haven't seen these in the flesh though.

By many accounts I have read, the fighters from Chechnya were some of the better ones.

Just kidding.

For 28mm Devil Dog Design(Valient Studios?) has some very nice model. They also have an Osama model.

Hey, thanks for reminding me about those Stan Johansen models. They look really good! Anybody know how they match up with Liberation?

I like Mongrel minis, smallish 28mm.

I have seen some very good examples – Britannia too: they're both high quality. I didn't mean to slag them off: it's just I prefer more human proportions, even if that means the sculpting is a little less dramatic.

I went for both in the end, from BB Wargames. Mars do the 'Mujahideen' and Caesar a pack called 'Modern Urban Resisters' which have a middle eastern look and the usual weapons.

Useful advice on here – thanks a lot.
