Have recently completed painting and basing some 25mm H&A buildings. These are beautifully cast pieces, with immense detail; in the premier league of resin real estate IMHO. Painted for my HYW collection, thats gradually assembling. Pics are on the blogsite, if you'd care to take a peak. harness-and-array.blogspot.com

Very nice. Like your French militia as well.

No interest in this period but you do great work. Congratulations!

Wonderful stuff! Keep up the great work. I will now have to go home tonight and finish off more French MAA's!

Painterman,

Your colour choice for the village is excellent. I like the sandstone with dark grey(?) trim. The thatching is a base coat dark brown with light gray or light blue dry-brush?

After reading Bernard Cornwell's trilogy, I almost became involved with the 100 years war. Since then, I have been devoted to solely to the 18th century. However, if I do return, your blog will serve as an inspiration.

Cheers,
Robert

Very nice work with the H&A buildings, and the medieval figures as well.

Has anyone ever tried to create an interior in the H&A buildings by gently slicing off the roof and hollowing out the inside? I have the set of hot foam cutting tools and thought I might give it a try on one of the small buildings. Just wondered if anyone else has tried it.

Unlike the regular H&A medieval buildings, the castle parts actually have removable roofs – roofs come off all the towers, the the stable building connected to the gatehouse, and also the "upscale" manor-house building. All have very nice detail on their interiors as well. I believe only the large keep has no interior access. RE: slicing off the roof to scratch-build your own interior… I did some minor custom work on the exteriors of a few castle components, but never anything that big. I think starting with a small building is a good idea. Good luck, and please remember to post pics of your results!
