I've got a battle report with plenty of pictures up on my blog of my first historical wargame. It was a fictional Civil War battle using 10mm GHQ miniatures with the Field of Battle rules from Piquet. We had a brigade of infantry per side, plus one cavalry regiment and one artillery battery per side. So check it out. On Friday I'll be posting a fictionalized account of the battle, so check my blog again on Friday for that.

Albino very nice and clealy loads of work has gone into it but just a thought – less images would help my download.

Thank you, craigscott666. I look forward to painting them. After some terrain I'm currently working on, painting up the Texas Brigade will be my next project. I'm not sure what kind of look to go with for the rebels yet, and how varied to make their uniform colors.

Sorry about that, normsmith. I suppose there are a lot of pictures, but I like a lot of pictures. In the future I think I will start using much smaller thumbnail images, which should help. But in the meantime, for those who just want to see the battle report, here's a direct link to just that post:

That way all the images from the other posts won't have to load. On Friday I'll post the direct link to the second part, which won't have any pictures.

Albino, I like the pictures, it's nice to have some amongst the text, it just need the right balance. I wasn't going to raise the point because I realise just how much hard work goes into picture taking and then matching the pictures to the right parts of the text, but I would like to keep visiting your blog.

Norm.

Actually normsmith, I appreciate any feedback from people. I'm relatively new to blogging, and still getting the hang of it.

Here's the direct link to the fictionalized account of The Battle of Prescott's Mill:
