Has anyone made or announced a not-Dragonborn out there? I've seen a not-Tiefling out there. Or am I going to have to cut up some Reptus? thanks -rich |

You don't like the prepainted plastics? |

I converted a Reptus from Reaper into a nice Dragonborn |

How about GW's plastic Saurus? Granted, you might end up needing to buy a box od 16, but it might be worth taking a look. |

jpattern2:I just don't feel like paying $20 USD + plus shipping for one that looks
maybe passable. Plus, I think I am annoyed that WOTC has made the most desired character race "rare" in all cases. So, it is kinda a protest (albeit a lame one.) That and I am making all of our PCs in metal. |

I'm using one of Reaper's Reptus figures as my Dragonborn Paladin link There are a couple of figures in that range which will fill other PC roles – basically any figure with a name. Wyatt |

No problem, I can definitely understand the preference for metal. |

I would have prefered a metal mini but there is very little choice available. In the end I converted and repainted one of the plastic minis from the D&D Miniatures range. link BigLee |

Hell, I wish I could GET one of the prepainted plastics for a halfway reasonable price. This is one of the things WotC does that irritates. They couldn't have put a couple of Dragonborn commons in the sets? |

According to the release schedule and the changes made to marketing them, they're coming out soon. |

One of the problems you are facing is that Dragonborn and Tieflings are trademarked creatures for D&D, and Hasbro has a lot of expensive lawyers. So while there's a couple around that can be converted, you aren't going to find them in the same quantities as, say, elves or dwarves. |

Oh, come on, there'd be no trouble making a decent dragonman – or humanoid devil – it's not like WotC was first with it. |

Dragonborn are just dragon/lizardmen and Tiefling are just demonic humans. There are tons of miniatures out there that can be used for both. |

I'm a fan of BigLee's conversion. I also think the Reaper reptus warriors are a solid substitution. |

I ordered a reptus to cut up and fashion into the Dragonborn in our party. I might even take a couple of pics of the process. Though it won't be any better than these two. link link |
