GRU… scaaaary….

BTW I have read some articels on the operation Zentrum\Stoss the proposed DDR plan to get west berlin, it was an understimation of urban combat of the xth magnitude…

The idea of the NATO spearhead is perfectly on line with the WarPac official (maybe not soviet) planning.

The man of the street mindset is fun… never seen a thing changings so fast… on december 5 1941 no one in america was talking war outside FDR…

December 8…

Also on June 23 1941 the germans were greeted as liberators in Soviet Union… June 23 1942… uhm certianly weren't liberators or greeted.

btw a question for the Inlaw theory…

if the entire WP folds and change sides… how the soveits can get back to germany? they have a lot ot buffer now… losses, and at this point probably NATO has the SLOC clear, plius a lot of CAT A and B stuff is already gone…

apologies all about the lateness getting back to this. And of course my mind had wandered with GRU. I meant HVA.

Arrigo, the collapse of the WP wasn't of huge concern to the Soviet high command, as apart from the NVA the quality was a little bit hit and miss. The belief was (based on ww2) that when the counter strike came, these countries would behave like they did in WW2 and swap sides again.
