Any of you have 15mm infantry from both ranges that could tell me how they compare to one another in height? Old Crow: link GZG: link CC |

I have a lot of GZG, with more coming and an order in with Old Crow, including these 15mm miniatures, so once they arrive I will be able to answer this if you still need the data. I was thinking of doing some comparison shots between various 15mm manufacturers once all my stuff comes in. You might also check out the marines from The Scene ( link ) . I really like the basic Marines ( not as fond of the Vets ) and the Orks are absolutely great since they have a lot of personality and far more detail than most 15mm miniatures. Not to mention all the various poses. Well worth a look. Jeff |

I have seen the Old crow `in the flesh' and they are a little smaller. Nice figures though. |

It's not so much a question of height as 'bulk'. The Old Crow infantry are slightly smaller but noticably slender than the majority of the non-armoured troops in the GZG 15mm line. Only a niggle if you are thinking of basing them side by side. As Paul says, "nice figures". I am launching a new Blog dedicated to 15mm Sci Fi on Monday 12th January. I'll be including photo comparisons of troops, vehicles and accessories which will answer common queries like this. Cheers Mark |

Mark: "I'll be including photo comparisons of troops, vehicles and accessories which will answer common queries like this." That would be absolutely fantastic! Thanks for doing that. CC |

No probs CC I'll post a thread on TMP with the link on Monday evening and make sure I include the Old Crow infantry in the first series of posts. Regards Mark |

My two niggles with Old Crow are that 1) there is no SAW model and 2) there's only style of trooper! Those gripes aside, they are very nice models indeed. Compared to stuff I've seen on the web, possibly the best 15mm SF trooper out there. GZG on the other hand has a podgy style for most models. Probably a stylistic issue, but it puts me off them. Their 15mm vehicles are ace tho. |

Does anyone have a better picture of the armed vacc-suits for gzg? I really like his stuff but it is hard to see alot of his 15mm on the website. Are all the light vacc suits armed the same? |

If I remember correctly, no support weapons, all small arms. Really nice models and not a hint of consuming too many Space Burger Royales about them. Mark |

Blog up and running
JUST! DROPSHIP HORIZON link Laptop has been suddenly cutting out without notice all day, so I've sent more time backing up than actually publishing to the blog. But, I've made a start. Comment and requests welcome. I'll announce it fully in a day or two once I have a new laptop and more content published. Cheers Mark |

Mark, Thanks to YOU, in the last couple of weeks I've made three purchases from GZG, two from Rebel Minis and now (today) one from Old Crow. And before all of this, I never owned a single 15mm figure. You are really a facilitator, you know? CC |

Yes Dan – so much to do, so little time! This weekend, if I finish my Mech Company. I'm under pressure to clear the kitchen table for a family lunch tomorrow! And got sidetracked by my HALO SPARTAN experiment. Damn that Master Chef! Cheers Mark |

"family lunch tomorrow!" Family first, Mark. Family first. Have a wonderful time. I meant no presure. Just wanted to see if it was still listed in your to-do list. The phrase got me a little excited. Thanks for everything, Mark. Seriously. I've been spending on 15mm every single week due to your blog, but I'm not complaining one bit – because, thanks to your blog, the purchases are informed ones. Haven't painted Old Crow infantry yet. However, Mardaddy did an awesome job re-painting four cool vehicles for them. Check out the photos here: link Now there's no excuse. I must paint the figures now. Dan |

Lampyridae, Nice! Those Old Crow troops really look nice next to the GZG Alien Mercenaries and GZG Crusties. Thanks. Dan |
