Then what would be the closest thing to it for 15mm, 25mm and 28mm? CC |

Look at model or diecast VAB armored cars (4 and 6 wheel variants) then just get one appropriately sized. 15mm – 20mm 25mm – 1/48 28mm – 1/35 picture picture You would have to do some conversion work to get the tri-wheel effect or you could use them as is. |

Any suggestions for 28mm? I would love to put together either a Landmaster or an Ark (from the same link Ravenwood provided) in 28mm. |
Ravenwood | 06 Jan 2009 6:58 p.m. PST |
IIRC, the actual Landmaster was like 52.5' long (when I was a kid, I had a Popular Mechanics issue with an article about it) So a 28mm scale model would be around 10-11" long. Scratch building one in foamcore & plasticard should not be too hard, the GW trukk tires look like a close match for the Landmaster tires & a 1/35th Huey's rocket pods should work for the back turret. The resin model would probably be close enough for 15mm |

I've been looking at Squadron's model selections. They've got a few good ones that would make pretty nice troop carriers. They have some kits of modern vehicles (German vehicles in 1/35 scale), much like the Stryker. You could then add bits & pieces to it like Ravenwood suggests. |
