Good stuff. I know these models are aimed at wargamers but ages ago in the modelling section of the Aerodrome forum somebody was asking about 1/144 and the talk turned to SRAM resin kits.

I can't afford to buy the whole run of 1,000 sprues but if I could I would…

anything to help flog these babies…

I'd probably skip posting to the modelling section – in all honesty we're likely to want simplfied and thickened struts in particular, so they can take a bit of handling, which'll not lead to satisfied customers if dedicated modellers are signed up.

Brisfit has flown past the SE5a s now in the lead 28% to 26% – woohoo!

Bloody hell – that's 83 votes since yesterday….

Word is getting around then…

Either that or someone's made the same request half a dozen times….

Well we're doing ok today, I just checked again, sad I know.

SE5a 29%
Bristol Fighter 30%

This means both have made good progress in their second weeks and might just hold them in the high climber table.

Yep – I just hope they're genuine, and not someone trying to run-up the total; a "tactic" which can only backfire at the later stages and rather undermine the whole thing. (I'm pathologically suspicious-minded, and that's one heck of a jump on the Bristol….) If they *are* genuine, never mind the high climber table (which is likely to be filled by new listings) we're only about 50 votes short of the top 10 by my reckoning….

I'm I know what you mean and until we have to part with hard cash neither we nor WF will know for sure.

The flip side to your pathological suspicion is that perhaps a club or group saw the news somewhere and had a conversation a bit like we do here and they all voted…

Could be – I guess we all find out if and when we get to the deposit stage. My worry is that if "support" suddenly vanishes at that stage, future requests on a similar line won't be greeted with much enthusiasm. So, here's hoping the optimists are right for a change…. ;-)

I imagine some support will drop off when it comes to parting with cash. My own pre-orders have been exactly what I can afford to buy rather than a wild over estimate. I can only hope that like the Zombies went over the 1,000 mark that these do as well to take up any slack. On the face of it they have been doing very well all things considered.

The whole scheme is IMHO a brave move by WF as they could loose out given the tooling costs for plastics. However the Perry plastic releases show that with a bit of faith in a great product that the market is out there even in these constrained times.

I for one can't wait to see the first computer rendering.

As expected, we seem to have stalled around the 30 per cent mark like many of the other listings…
