I just watched Death Race and am considering getting into some version of road war gaming…

I am most interested in sites with inspirational car conversions or terrain if their are any…

The actual rules don't need to be Car Wars…

Thanks!

James

I'd google, Paraguayan Car rallies…the driving and crash scenes are just what you need.

I was going to refer you to the SWAT HQ site as that is the best reference to all things auto dueling, but the site is password protected now for some reason.

Our group does car battles using converted die-cast cars and the Savage Worlds rules.

ARF and the Jack Hackers hit SWAT hard with the XM-6 Dempsey (still running after all these years!) and EMP weapons. The destruction caused required moving the group's Web site to a new ISP.

There is a Yahoo group fo "FunkyTown", a Car Wars, Urban shootout game in 28mm.

I am a member, but don't have the link on my laptop. Will get back here with it.

Pretty cool, and GREAT 28mm "70's ish" funky figures (think Blaxploitation films)

We're working on a variation of Speed Rally that uses the one good idea from the Death Race remake -- the video game element where you have to drive over a marker to activate your weapons. The scenario will be in the expansion later this year.

In the mean time, the Green Flag edition of Speed Rally is finally available.

SR is designed for use with 1/64 scale vehicles, for gamers who would like more weapons in Formula de, or more racing in their Car Wars

You can get the Speed Rally PDF at speedrally.net.
