At Amazon Miniatures we are going through our un-indexed moulds that we have acquired over the past few years and are trying to catalogue the Stadden 30mm range (which must be 30 years old or more?) We do not have any listing of any kind for these. Previous appeals for a catalogue have not come up with anything. Was there ever a catalogue published? If so a scan would be useful The miniatures are AWI, Napoleonics, possibly Seven Years War. We have a hand written note in an exercise book referring to ECW but not found any moulds for these yet. Also 20mm Rose (again if there was such a thing) We have found a number of artillery pieces, that we think could be Rose. They certainly do not seem to fit in with the 20mm Garrison ranges. We also have a section on our website www.amazonminiatures.com where we have posted up a number of Garrison catalogue queries - not covered by the catalogues that have been sent to us already. Any help would be greatly appreciated paul.ashton@amazonminiatures.com (writing this I was rather aware of the UK Englishness of the spelling - mold / catalog - replies in any spelling variant welcome!) |

Are these 30mm Stadden figures the same as or different from 30mm Tradition figures? I have a catalog of 30mm Tradition figures dated 1997 from Tradition USA. The catalog states that most of the figures were designed by 'CHAS. C. STADDEN'. Last I heard, Tradition 30mm were still available from Tradition USA. |

These are certainly the same Charles Stadden and from the photo I saw on one website just now, the same style of figure. So perhaps this is a can of worms that has just been opened as we certainly have masters and master moulds. We bought these along with Garrison, SKT and others in early 2001. I guess what we need to establish are the Tradition production a duplicate of what we have or are they different ranges. We do not have any Colonials which they do, but we do have what appear to be AWI, 7YW and Napoleonics Perhaps someone else can shed some light on this mystery. For me it is a matter of clearing up our inventory of moulds and back catalogue ranges I will put up some photos in a few minutes at www.amazonminiatures.com/stadden which may help |

Have you tried contacting his son? link theres a short biography of his late father at this site also, IIRC adverts for the range appeared in Airfix magazine in the early 70s, I`ll check my old copies! |

Amazon Miniatures: "We bought these along with Garrison, SKT and others in early 2001." By any chance, did you acquire the Phoenix Model Developments 30mm lines? |

For those looking for Stadden figs, Tradition of London is now selling them, and at very reasonable prices, also. traditionoflondonshop.com They're also selling Willie, Holger Erickson, and some other old school figure lines. We should be grateful! :) |
